Like a Swiss lake
4 km to the north of the village, on the road to Kornos, is Lefkara dam, one of the largest dams in Cyprus with a capacity of about 14 cm cubic metres of water. In years of normal rainfall, it gathers up to 6 cm cubic metres of water and the whole landscape is strongly reminiscent of the Swiss lakes or the Norwegian fjords.
