Village of the roses
45 km north of Lemesos.
Spread across 7 hills at an altitude of 1100m, Agros is a year-round popular resort, thanks to its natural beauty, local traditions, as well as its cultural and archaeological places of interest. The village is known for its traditional cured meats and fruit preserves, and above all for its local rose water, produced from the wild rose bushes that were first imported in the early 20th century. Places to visit include the two churches of Panayia Eleousa and Timios Prodromos, while three nature trails in the area invite you to enjoy a walk in the company of nature. The Rose Festival in May is an annual celebration that attracts a large number of visitors.
