8 km from Skarinou, off the Nicosia-Limassol highway, 40 km from Larnaca. The charming village is famous for its local handmade lace, known as “Lefkaritiko” and for its silverware. The reputed “Lefkaritiko”, was included in UNESCO’s representative List of Intangible Culture Heritage of Humanity, on 30 September 2009.The local people are blessed with a sense of art decorate with special artistry the censers, the rose water canisters, the silver teaspoons, jewelleries and so many other silver work of art. The Lefkara – Patsalos Museum is housed in a beautiful traditional house. It presents the centuries old traditional unique local production of artistic embroideries and silver. The “Ktima Dafermou” is open to all wine lovers and anyone wishing to get to know the world of wine and viticulture (tel. 70008373). In Lefkara, the Church of the Holy Cross is known for its beautiful 18th century iconostasis and a unique 13th century silver cross.
